I Have More Freedom With The France Team Than PSG, Says Mbappe

Following Thursday’s Nations League encounter against Austria, Kylian Mbappé has acknowledged that he “has more freedom in the French team than in PSG.”

The striker was one of the standout players in the Nations League game against Austria and scored a fantastic goal.

He frequently combined with the Olivier Giroud during the game, showing that the two were on the same wavelength.

What Did Mbappe Say About PSG?

Mbappe claims that while he is asked to play more centrally in Paris, he has more freedom to move between the lines with Les Bleus.

“I play differently with France,” Mbappé began. “They ask me to do different things here than at PSG. Here I have much more freedom.

“The coach knows that we have Giroud as a ‘9′ who occupies defenses and I can run into the spaces. In Paris it’s different, that doesn’t exist. They ask me to play in the center and it’s different.”

The former Monaco star, who has scored 28 goals for France, also discussed image rights, a topic that has recently gained attention.

“I’m happy with the image rights agreements. It was not me who proposed them.

“Being criticized won’t change the way I play and live. If it’s good for the group, I don’t care. I think the whole group is happy.”
