‘He Is Here’ Klopp Announces Diaz’s Availability Vs Toulouse

Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has reportedly announced the availability of Luis Diaz in the Reds UEFA Europa League clash against Toulouse on Thursday.

According to Liverpool Offside, Diaz is set to play against the French club and may even start the game after his late heroics to earn Liverpool a draw against Luton Town over the weekend.

Klopp discussed the possible availability of the Colombia international as well as the circumstance in which his father’s disappearance after over two weeks, despite reports that he was supposed to be released over the weekend.

“No real news, which is positive somehow, but no real news,” Klopp stated.

“He decided last week because he cannot go to Colombia he is here and when he is here when he is at training it is a safe place.”

It is possible that the National Liberation Army (ELN)-affiliated kidnappers have been holding back on releasing Diaz’s father because they want protections for when they turn him over.

“When he is around the matches it is a safe place with the team and everything is okay in the moment,” the German added. “He wants to be with us, he travelled, he is here, and so he is available.”

Diaz has scored 4 goals and provided one assist across all competitions this season.

Liverpool need a win to secure qualification to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

The Reds are set to lock horns against Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday.
