Harry Kane ‘Open To Contract Extension At Tottenham’ Despite Man United Interest

Harry Kane is open to extending his contract at Tottenham Hotspur despite the ongoing speculation over his future.

Kane’s current contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires in the summer of 2024, and Manchester United are interested in signing him.

According to The Athletic, conversations between Tottenham and Kane are planned once the transfer window closes, with the club currently focused on potential incomings.

Kane is willing to stay at Tottenham, but if an agreement cannot be reached, the club will have to decide whether to sell the striker or lose him for free the following year.

United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to bring in a striker this summer, and the attacker is his top target.

According to Sportsmail, United executives have begun looking into the specifics of a potential Kane transfer.

Bayern Munich have also been mentioned as a possible destination for Kane, but the German club’s former president Uli Hoeness is doubtful that they would be able to meet Tottenham’s $130 million asking price.

‘He’s a great player, but that’s an order of magnitude,’ Hoeness told journalist Maximilian Koch of Tottenham’s valuation of Kane.

‘Manchester City got out at 140, 150 million euros. I can’t imagine that these are amounts that Bayern Munich want to or can pay.’

Kane is now just one goal behind Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, Jimmy Greaves, who scored 226 goals. England captain Kane remains a key player for Antonio Conte’s squad.

Despite his outstanding individual achievements, The attacker is yet to win a trophy with Tottenham.

The 29-year-old will be aware that this could be one of his last chances to secure a high-profile move away from the club.
