Haaland Wins The FWA Men’s Footballer Of The Year Award

Manchester City star striker, Erling Haaland has bagged the Football Writers’ Association men’s footballer of the year award after his explosive debut season at the Manchester club.

Arsenal duo, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka were defeated by the Norwegian who garnered 82% of the FWA vote.

In support of Man City’s quest for a historic treble, Haaland has so far this campaign contributed an astonishing 51 goals across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has scored 35 goals in the league after scoring once against West Ham earlier this month. Giving him the league record for most goals in a single season. He has plundered the astonishing tally in just 47 games.

As he seeks to lead City to an unprecedented treble in the final few weeks of the season. Haaland has broken a number of records.

With four games left, Pep Guardiola’s team lead the Premier League by one point above Arsenal. With a game in hand.
