Gleison Bremer May Become Manchester United First Summer Signing Under Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Talks are underway at Manchester United regarding the signing of a Brazilian player as Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s first acquisition.

With no January arrivals, the INEOS billionaire finished his takeover this season but the revolution is expected to start this summer.

The futures of several players and Erik ten Hag are still unknown.

However,  according to FourFourTwo, a lot of talk about recent additions suggests that the Red Devils will soon undergo a major overhaul that will involve a lot of departures.

According to the report, Manchester United has “intensified contacts” with Gleison Bremer in an attempt to get an advantage over the other Premier League teams.

According to the Express, the Juventus player had talks with Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham in 2022. Since all three teams are reportedly still interested in signing a center back this summer, United’s alleged transfer discussions would put them squarely in the driver’s seat to land the Brazilian.

Bremer, who is believed to be a good Harry Maguire replacement, is rumored to have a release clause in place. So, any potential negotiations with Juventus are more likely to be about the player’s contract.

It’s possible that Bremer is only a backup option to someone like Jarrad Branthwaite, who has also been linked to a move to the 20-time English champions, given reports that his release clause is anywhere between £43 million and £58 million.

Transmarkt values the 27-year-old at €60 million.
