FPL GW25 Recap: Record Breaking Gameweek; iSoccer Winners

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 25 is one never to be forgotten as it witnessed the record number of chips used in a single week in the history of the game.

More than 1.5 million managers made use of their Triple Captain chip in this gameweek, with the vast majority opting for Manchester City talisman, Erling Haaland (£14.4m), who could only score a single goal in his side’s double gameweek against Chelsea and Brentford.

Liverpool duo, Diogo Jota (£8.3m) and Darwin Nunez (£7.6m) were among the most popular picks this gameweek due to the Reds’ juicy double fixtures against Brentford and Luton Town. But, unfortunately both assets were restricted to only 45 minutes of action against the Bees as a result of injuries they both sustained in the encounter.

Nevertheless, both produced a return before their premature exit in the game.

The ‘FPL King’, Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) returned to the Reds side with a goal and an assist. This is after a hamstring injury the Egyptian sustained during international engagement.

Bukayo Saka (£9.1m) continues from where he left off as he plundered a brace yet again in Arsenal’s resounding 5-0 victory over Burnley. Martin Odegaard (£8.4m), Kai Havertz (£7.1m) and Leandro Trossard (£6.5m) are the other players who got on the scoresheet for the Gunners.

Manchester United continue their impressive form, so also is Rasmus Hojlund (£7.2m). The Dane yet again scored for the Red Devils making it six successive games which netted in the Premier League. That made him break the record of the youngest player to score in as many consecutive matches.

Following a disappointing encounter against Man United where he missed some big chances, Ollie Watkins (£8.4m) right his wrong against Fulham as he plundered a brace.

The Englishman most likely wore the boot he donned against Sheffield United against the Craven Cottagers as he found his goalscoring prowess again.

Tottenham popular assets found it very difficult to breach the defence of Wolverhampton Wanderers as they lost at home. Heung-min Son (£9.6m) and Richarlison (£7.1) recorded a blank and made their owners groan in the process.

Wolves midfielder, Joao Gomes (£4.9m) scored both goals in between Dejan Kulusevski’s (£6.8m) equalizer for Spurs. With the match ending 2-1 in favour of Wolves.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
