FPL GW22 Recap: Haaland Returns; iSoccer Winners

The Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Gameweek 22 unleashed an incredible emotion for managers, not just because of their gameweek score, but because of the return of Erling Haaland (£14.0m) for Manchester City in their clash against Burnley on Wednesday night.

The Norwegian star came on as a substitute, though, he failed to get any attacking return, but his appearance will give millions of managers joy as they will get to select the ‘Mr Assurance’ in their respective teams.

Kevin De Bruyne (£10.7m), for the first time since the season opener, started a game for City against the Clarets, who were the last team he started against before the long-term injury. The Belgian produced an assist to give his owners 7 points. Julian Alvarez (£6.9m) scored a brace, while Phil Foden (£8.0m) notched an assist.

Diogo Jota (£8.0m) continues his impressive run of form in Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Chelsea. The Portuguese scored a goal and won a penalty which unfortunately wasn’t converted by Darwin Nunez (£7.5m). The Uruguayan though, produced an assist in the game, he created an unwanted record as he became the first player to hit the woodwork 4 times in a Premier League match.

Conor Bradley (£4.0m) surprisingly, was the player of the week with 21 points. The Reds youngster scored a goal, produced two assists and kept a cleansheet in a scintillating performance.

Bukayo Saka (£9.1m) and Gabriel Jesus (£8.0m) were on the scoresheet as Arsenal recorded back-to-back victories after defeating Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. Taiwo Awoniyi (£6.3m) marked his return from injury with yet another goal against the Gunners.

Manchester United played out a 7-goal thriller against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Marcus Rashford (£8.4m) continues his run of plundering attacking returns with a goal. Pedro Neto (£5.6m) got his first goal and assist since returning back from injury.

Kobbie Mainoo (£4.4m) saved United’s blushes with an amazing goal deep into the added time.

Please Note: Winners will be contacted directly by the iSoccer FPL admins ONLY if they have dropped a comment or their team names at any point during the season. Winners who haven’t fulfilled any of the above requirements would have their win passed down to a next eligible manager (who has sent in comments).

This will be done on the next Gameweek’s Deadline Day (provided winners didn’t comment still). And once payments are made to another manager, it becomes irreversible.

No manager is entitled to win in two consecutive GWs. So, any reward of such would be passed down to the next manager in line. This is necessary to make winnings go round.

Net points for the week will be used in picking winners, rather than gross points.

Also Note: Each player is entitled to only ONE team. Therefore, payments will be denied from players with more than one team, and passed to next manager.

All players are also advised to follow the social media handles and to visit the iSoccer website frequently.
