Ex Premier League Star Makes 2023/24 EPL Title Prediction

Former Liverpool, Newcastle United and Manchester United striker, Michael Owen has tipped Manchester City to retain the League title ahead of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Man United.

According to the Daily Mail, Owen backed the Cityzens to be head and shoulders above their rivals in the race for the 2023/24 Premier League title.

Prior to the start of the new season next Friday, when newly promoted Burnley will welcome Pep Guardiola’s men to Turf Moor, the former star striker declared his predictions.

Vincent Kompany’s side should be able to avoid the drop and end in 16th place, according to Owen, who won his lone Premier League crown in 2011 while playing for Man United.

The 43-year-old draws the assumption that Luton Town and Sheffield United, the other two promoted teams, will immediately revert to the Championship.

The two-time winner of the Golden Boot placed Wolves into his final relegation spot. While predicting significant but insufficient improvement from Chelsea. The former England international tipped the Blues to finish outside the top 4.

Last season, City amassed 89 points as they easily won their fifth league title in six seasons and third in a row.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal finished the campaign five points off the top. Owen predicts the Gunners will experience the same fate this season as well. While Owen is hopeful about the response of one of his previous clubs.

After graduating from the Liverpool academy, the 43-year-old spent eight years with the club’s first team squad. And he predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s team will improve upon their poor fifth-place showing.

Owen believes Man United will earn the final Champions League berth ahead of Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle, who Owen believes would struggle to balance domestic and European play.
