Erling Haaland’s Injury Not As Serious As First Thought

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester City talismanic forward, Erling Haaland, is believed to have sustained only a minor groin injury.

Haaland withdrew from the Norway squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers with Spain and Georgia. After feeling some discomfort in his groin. Following City’s 6-0 FA Cup quarterfinal success against Burnley on Saturday.

In a statement, the Norwegian FA acknowledged that the early tests indicated the prolific forward would require some time in the hospital.

The statement read: “Erling Braut Haaland had some pain in his groin after the match against Burnley. We hoped that this was just a familiarity that would carry over to Saturday.”

The player may still be able to play in the vital Premier League match against Liverpool in just ten days. And City does not consider the injury to be severe.

Despite having played one fewer game than the north Londoners. Pep Guardiola’s team is eight points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal. And is in dire need of a victory against the Reds.
