Ousmane Dembele has reportedly requested a new contract and a wage increase from Paris Saint-Germain in light of his recent achievement as a Ballon d’Or winner.
The French winger, who currently earns €18 million annually and has a contract with the team through 2028, wants a salary commensurate with his international status, but PSG are unwilling to go back to the lavish pay scale of the Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi era.
Dembele, who recently won the 2025 Ballon d’Or, feels that his performances are worthy of a substantial contract increase.
Representatives of the PSG star have already approached the club to renegotiate terms, claiming that his current yearly salary of €18 million (£15 million/$19 million) is no longer commensurate with his world-beating performance.

Dembele Still Has Three Years On Existing Contract
Dembele, who has a contract that expires in 2028, is composed but anticipates being acknowledged for his new status.
Dembele insisted that his PSG contract contain a condition that would grant him a wage increase in the event that he won the Ballon d’Or, just as his contracts with Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona.
According to L’Equipe as claimed by Goal, although the French outfit dispute this kind of clause, it is in the contract and that his group is currently pressuring the team to adhere to it.
They contend that the forward’s achievements in the Champions League and personal success warrant a higher salary.
PSG, on the other hand, have reacted thoughtfully, wanting to engage in dialogue but not willing to replicate the previous financial excesses.
