Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly demanded through his lawyers that Juventus pay him an outstanding £17m that he is still owed.
After departing Real Madrid in 2018, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner spent three years in Turin, scoring 101 goals and assisting 22 times in 134 matches.
While playing at Turin, Ronaldo assisted the Old Lady in winning two Serie A titles, one Coppa Italia, and two Supercoppa Italiana crowns. He left Turin in the summer of 2021 to join Manchester United.
Juventus acquired €17m (£14.7m) for the 37-year-old, who is now looking for a new club after leaving Manchester United by mutual agreement.
However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo is still owed up to £17m by Juventus due to previously undisclosed agreements with the club.
According to the report, the agreement was reached during the COVID-19 outbreak, and Ronaldo has now directed his legal team to recover the funds from the Bianconeri.
Juventus is involved in a financial crisis involving alleged false accounting, which the club disputes, and they are also being investigated by UEFA over potential Financial Fair Play violations.
