Chelsea To Miss Out On £51M Star Who Ended Klopp’s Dream Liverpool Exit

Chelsea are reportedly set to miss out on Atalanta midfielder, Teun Koopmeiners this summer amid extensively scouting the Netherlands international.

Though they will face fierce competition to sign Koopmeiners, the Blues have been heavily linked to him ahead of the transfer window.

During Atalanta’s Europa League quarterfinal victory over Liverpool last week, reports in the Italian media state that Chelsea sent scouts to observe the Dutchman. As his team won 3-1 on aggregate, Koopmeiners played a significant role in denying Jurgen Klopp the opportunity to win one last European trophy as Anfield boss.

A highly sought-after midfield player in the world of football is Koopmeiners. A number of Chelsea’s Premier League and European rivals are probably going to compete with them for his signature.

According to Sportmediaset as reported by the Daily Express, Chelsea plan to make a sizable offer for the 26-year-old before the end of the current campaign. According to the report, Koopmeiners may fetch £51 million or more.

However, transfer expert Dean Jones claims Juventus are still in the lead in the competition for Koopmeiners in an interview with Give Me Sport.

This is true even though the former AZ Alkmaar player has also been linked to Manchester United, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Koopmeiners has made it known that he plans to leave Atlanta at the end of the current campaign. He made a joke about how the British weather wouldn’t stop him from moving to the Premier League during the March international break.
