Chelsea and Roma agree £28million fee for Nainggolan

Chelsea have agreed a five-year contract with Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan and the two clubs have also reached terms on a £28 million fee.

According to the Mirror, incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte believes that the Roma star is on his way to Stamford Bridge as all the parties have come to an agreement for a transfer.

The deal will be a huge boost for the new Blues boss especially since he views Nainggolan as perfect for his style of play, as reported by the newspaper.

The Mirror also claim that Chelsea held lengthy negotiations with the Italian club in the past 48 hours and they are now confident the Belgium international will be a Chelsea player in the summer.

Nainggolan, an all-action midfielder, has impressed for Roma this season, playing 32 times in Serie A scoring five goals this term.

Furthermore, Roma’s no.4 has also been a real creative force laying on 38 chances – only two other Roma players Mohamed Salah (55) and Miralem Pjanic (71) have created more than him.

The 27-year-old is excellent at winning and protecting the ball too. Nainggolan has completed 85% of his passes this term, while he’s also been successful with 46 of his 111 attempted tackles.
