Chelsea Possible Lineups Against Burnley At Stamford Bridge

Chelsea hosts Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in the Premier League and at least nine players are expected to be sidelined.

Lesley Ugochukwu (hamstring), as the West Londoners have confirmed that he will miss the remainder of the season due to a setback in his recuperation from a “significant thigh injury.”

Sports Mole states that Chelsea has announced that Trevoh Chalobah (unspecified) is participating in partial team training but will not play against Burnley. Other players who will not be available for selection this weekend include Levi Colwill (toe), Carney Chukwuemeka, and Robert Sanchez (both unspecified).

Ben Chilwell, who took a knock to his knee while playing for England on international duty, Enzo Fernandez, who hasn’t returned to the team after his stint with Argentina, and Malo Gusto, who withdrew from the France Under-21 squad due to illness, will all be evaluated before kickoff, according to Mauricio Pochettino.

Cole Palmer, who leads Chelsea in goals scored this season with 14, was able to substitute in Tuesday’s 2-2 friendly draw with Belgium despite having some minor fitness issues during the international break. Palmer should be available for selection on Saturday.

With Nicolas Jackson leading the line, Pochettino will consider starting Raheem Sterling, but Noni Madueke and Mykhaylo Mudryk, who scored the game-winning goal for Ukraine on Tuesday to secure their place in the Euro 2024, will also be fighting for a spot on the flanks.

Thiago Silva, the center back, and Djordje Petrovic, the goalie, are anticipated to return, as are midfield players Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher, who are expected to stay in the starting lineup.

Possible starting lineup for Chelsea: Palmer, Gallagher, Mudryk; Jackson; Caicedo, Fernandez; Gusto, Disasi, Silva, and Chilwell; Petrovic
