Chelsea Defender Set For Scans On His Latest Hamstring Injury

Chelsea star Ben Chilwell will have a scan on Thursday to determine the extent of his hamstring injury suffered against Brighton.

Chilwell was substituted off in injury time during Chelsea’s 1-0 Carabao Cup triumph over Brighton on Wednesday night.

He was treated on the field before being able to walk around the field alongside Chelsea’s medical personnel as he exited.

Chilwell is no stranger to hamstring ailments, including a serious one last season that prompted him to miss the World Cup in Qatar. His most recent setback is thought to be related to the same hamstring.

Chelsea will be anxiously awaiting the results of testing to ascertain the extent of the damage on the English international.

Carney Chukwuemeka and Benoit Badiashile have also been out injured but are back in partial team training after knee and hamstring issues respectively.
