Cavani Heading To Laliga After “Bitter” Ending At Man United

Edinson Cavani is reportedly very close to signing with Laliga team, Valencia on a free transfer. Cavani is set to sign a two-year contract with the Spanish club that will see him earn about €2 million per season.

Cavani left Manchester United this summer, claiming that his time there left him with a “bitter taste” due to a lack of personal and team success during his last season.

The Uruguayan international sparked a lot of interest this summer, with links to Boca Juniors and Villarreal.

The best offer, though, came from Nice, who offered to give him a salary that was twice as high as Valencia’s offer.

What Next For Edinson Cavani?

A stay in Spain would seem to be his obvious next step after playing in Italy, France, and England.

Cavani struggled with form and fitness at Manchester United a lot. Also, he found himself overshadowed by the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer.

Paul Scholes, a Man United legend, called Cavani a “disgrace” and questioned his dedication to the team.

He’ll have the chance to show that he’s still the Cavani of old for a team like Valencia, who will hope the Uruguayan can assist them return to the top of La Liga. It appears to make sense for everyone concerned.

The deal is nearing completion, as he’s eager to find his next club before the European transfer window closes.

Valencia will attempt to offload Marcos Andre or Maxi Gomez in order to raise the funds necessary to sign the Uruguayan.
