Buruj Sports Academy hail British Embassy over UK trip

The management of Buruj Sports Academy has showered encomiums on the officials of the Deputy Consular office of the British Embassy in Lagos for what it described as their unflinching support and cooperation in the process of obtaining travel visas for the contingent that is preparing to depart the shores of the country for United Kingdom to participate in the 2016 Welsh International Super Cup holding in Cardiff, Wales.

The embassy staff have been getting in touch with the management of the academy to ensure that all the requirements that will help the process of documents procurement are fulfilled, and the Managing Director of the academy, Dr. Salaudeen Waheed, explained that the process has been decent and thorough, taking into consideration the fact that most of the players who made the cut are still under-aged and will need their parents’ consent for such trip.

“We are grateful to them because they ‘ve been getting in touch and guiding us on what to do to meet the necessary requirements. Though they will never bend the their rules, but we ‘ve been nevertheless enjoying our dealings with them since the process commenced few days ago,” he said.

“It is not as if we are novice in the business and they even praised us for our level of understanding and preparations. We are not unmindful of the fact that most of the players we are taking to the UK for the tournament are still under-aged, we know the rules and we are committed to ensuring that we meet all the requirements so that we can keep our standard and have a memorable experience when we get there.

“We will also get in touch with all the necessary government agencies here in Nigeria like we did before we travelled to Dubai earlier this year. Hopefully, in the next couple of days, we should be home and dry,” he boasted.

Meanwhile, the friendly game between Buruj Sports Academy and Synergy Ultimate will now hold by 10. am inside the Agege stadium, on Wednesday, and it is designed to assess the state of match-readiness of some of the players who will feature in the tournament to be organised by Swansea-based Team Tours Direct.
