Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Junior ‘undergoes medical ahead of Real Madrid move’

Flamengo wonderkid Vinicius Junior has reportedly undergone a medical ahead of a move to Real Madrid.

According to Globoesporte, the 16-year-old underwent medical examinations at the Samaritano Hospital in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio at the request of the La Liga giants and it’s expected that the results will be sent soon.

Furthermore, the report states that Los Blancos have offered 45 million euros (R $ 157 million) for the teenager as they look to fend off competition from the likes of several European giants including bitter rivals for his signature.

However, any deal can only be confirmed in June 2018, when Vinicius turns 18 as that is the legal age for when a Brazilian player can move abroad and it’s believed that an agreement between Flamengo and Real Madrid is in place but a contract is yet to be signed.

Vinicius has developed into one of the most promising young talents in world football with the Brazilian star firing the Under- 17 national side to victory in the South American Championships in March.
