Bonucci taunts England fans again over Euro 2020 final defeat

Leonardo Bonucci isn’t done taunting England fans over their defeat in the Euro 2020 final, linking up with Giorgio Chiellini for more gloating.

The veteran centre-back duo were impenetrable at the tournament, with Bonucci even scoring the equaliser in the final as Italy completed a stunning tournament under Roberto Mancini.

Bonucci has been on a mission to goad Three Lions supporters at every opportunity since the moment Bukayo Saka’s deciding penalty was saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma, screaming ‘it’s coming Rome’ into the cameras amid the celebrations.

The Juventus star jetted off on holiday with long-time team-mate Chiellini after the final, and continued his gloating campaign over some traditional Italian cuisine.

Bonucci posted a picture to Instagram of the pair beaming cheesy smiles into the camera as they tucked into a bowl of pasta.

The caption read: ‘We keep eating pasta … and you?’

The 34-year-old was irritated by English chants in the build-up, and has now made multiple references to the ‘you can stick your twirly pasta up your a***’ songs.

Bonucci’s failure to grasp English humour worked in his favour, admitting he used his frustration as motivation for the Italians’ showdown with Harry Kane and Co.

He was also fired-up by boos ringing our around Wembley while the Italian national anthem played, saying: ‘We were strong, louder than the noise of the whistles.

‘During the warm-up I said to all my team-mates: let’s plug our ears and play as we know how.

‘This team hasn’t lost in 34 games, we’re a fantastic team. It’s an absurd enjoyment… we are having fun with this.’
