Bayern Munich have reportedly escaped double injury concern ahead of their heavyweight UEFA Champions League clash against Arsenal as Manuel Neuer and Harry Kane are set to be fit.
Although, the 30-year-old was initially a fitness doubt after he left England’s camp in the international break.
Due to a muscle tear sustained during training last week, 37-year-old Neuer was left out of the Germany team for their friendlies against France and the Netherlands this month. Since then, he has returned to Bayern to continue his rehabilitation. On Saturday, Germany defeated les Bleus 2-0, with Marc Andre ter Stegen starting in goal.
Neuer’s availability for the remainder of the season and for Bayern’s two-leg Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Arsenal next month has come under scrutiny due to the injury. On April 9, Thomas Tuchel’s men will depart for the Emirates and return to host their Premier League rivals eight days later.
According to The Mirror, luckily for Bayern, Nagelsmann indicated that Neuer will be fit for the trip to north London in two weeks. So it is unlikely that he will be out for an extended period of time.
“It’s just a muscle fibre tear,” he said.
“He won’t be out for eight months. So, I don’t change my opinion. Now, he has the chance to be there. But that doesn’t change my decision. Manuel will be out for ten days.”

Bayern are also set for another injury boost going into their quarterfinal Champions League match.
Kane was forced to withdraw from the England team due to an ankle injury he sustained during the team’s 5-2 victory over Darmstadt prior to the international break. But it seems the talismanic forward will be fit before then.
