Barcelona Step Up Chase Of Former Striker, Player Ready To Take Pay Cut

According to recent report from Diario SPORTBarcelona are stepping up their efforts to sign dissatisfied Chelsea player Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang was member of the Barcelona squad last summer, but the club had to approve his sale to Chelsea in order to balance the books.

Although the forward’s time at Stamford Bridge has been nothing short of nightmare, rumors of return to Camp Nou have surfaced.

Barcelona are willing to sign Aubameyang in the upcoming summer, ideally for free. However, the forward’s Chelsea contract does not expire until 2024. Barca are counting on Chelsea to terminate his contract so he can sign with the team for free.

However, it must be noted that the fate of Aubameyang will be in the hands of Chelsea.

Barcelona are not expected to make a move for the Gabonese international if they have to pay a transfer fee in the summer.

As things stand, Chelsea are looking for a transfer fee.

However, many believe the Blues may ultimately fold as the player is not a part of the club’s plans going forward, even though the player has featured in recent Chelsea matches.
