Barcelona send scouts to watch Bellerin against Bayern Munich

Barcelona have dispatched scouts to watch Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin face Bayern Munich in the Champions League, according to reports.

The Gunners welcome German giants Bayern to the Emirates on Tuesday evening, hoping to put in a more respectable display than the 5-1 thrashing they suffered at the Allianz Arena last month.

Spaniard Bellerin has been repeatedly linked with La Liga heavyweights Barcelona in recent months, and Mundo Deportivo say the Spanish outfit will take another look at the right-back during the Champions League clash.

Bellerin, 21, started his career at Barcelona’s youth system but was picked up by the Gunners in 2011 and has since played 68 league games for the north London side.

But the Spain international is one of several stars linked with summer exits, particularly if Arsene Wenger leaves the Emirates after his 21 years at the club.

Reports from last month said Bellerin would seriously consider his future at Arsenal if the long-standing manager left his post, with Barcelona ready to pounce on any uncertainty over the player’s future.
