Barcelona are searching for a new striker to succeed legendary Polish forward Robert Lewandowski.
The 37-year-old striker will depart Barça to play for the Chicago Fire in the MLS upon the expiration of his contract on June 30.
The Catalan team appear to be targeting Atletico Madrid player Julian Alvarez to take his position, although there have also been rumours of Harry Kane lately.
However, Kane is not currently a Barcelona option, according to SPORT.
When the Blaugrana inquired about the Englishman, they were informed that he had no intention of leaving Bayern this summer.

For the time being, that has put end to Kane’s interest. Barcelona may admire the England international’s quality, experience and goalscoring record, but there is no active operation if the player is not open to a move.
Alvarez Is Still The Top Option.
Alvarez is still Barcelona’s top pick, according to the report, especially because the Argentine has made it clear that he wants to join the club.
Right now, that is the main distinction between Alvarez and Kane. The England captain is satisfied at Bayern despite being a top-tier number nine.
Alvarez, on the other hand, is a player who clearly has a strong affinity for Barcelona. His position on leaving Atletico this summer has been made clear.
Besides that, the Argentine satisfies Hansi Flick’s desires. He has the ability to play throughout the front line, press, combine, and attack space.
He is more than a box striker. He is a contemporary forward who can improve the intensity of the entire attack.
