Arteta says Arsenal must help struggling Aubameyang score goals

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes the burden of scoring cannot lie solely with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gabon striker has struggled to find the back of the net for the team this season.

Aubameyang is coming off signing a huge new contract in the summer, but has yet to deliver on the club’s investment in him so far.

And Arteta hopes the team can help Aubameyang start firing with better service to the 31-year-old striker.

He told reporters after their 2-1 loss to Wolves at home: “The main goalscorer of the club is not scoring goals and we need to help him score more goals.

“How important he’s been for the club in the past two years tells you how important he’s been for us if we want to be successful.”
