Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing a move for Barcelona attacker, Dani Olmo, who has been linked with a move to Manchester City.
According to the Daily Star, the Gunners showed interest in the player that Pep Guardiola wanted.
Al-Qadsiah FC, a Saudi team led by Brendan Rodgers, recently made a determined attempt to get Olmo with a £60 million offer and an £8 million-per-year contract, according to Spanish daily Sport.
Arsenal Among Teams Trying To Sign Olmo
According to the same story, the Gunners were among the teams vying for Olmo, who is battling for regular playing time under Hansi Flick.
Olmo is rumoured to have rejected both teams in favour of competing for a berth in the Barcelona team.
The 27-year-old has previously been linked to a move to the Premier League after Man City expressed interest in him last summer.
At that point, Olmo’s agent stated his client wasn’t considering leaving the Nou Camp but added: “You never know what the future will bring.”

It’s unclear if the Gunners will try to sign Olmo again this summer, which may result in a significant roster change.
Arsenal have not had much time to mend their wounds as they get ready to play Sporting CP in the Champions League.
Following their devastating FA Cup loss to Championship team Southampton on Saturday, the Gunners have left for Portugal for the opening leg of their quarterfinal.
The Premier League table-toppers then welcome Bournemouth in a league clash as they seek to maintain momentum at the top.
