Arsenal ‘Promise’ Signing Will Be Finalised Today After Long Delay

Arsenal are reportedly about to confirm the signing Declan Rice from West Ham United finally. It has been more than a week since Arsenal and West Ham agreed on a fee to move Rice across London.

Additionally, the midfielder is said to have passed his medicals and reached a personal contract with his potential new team.

However, Arsenal have not yet made a decision on the signing of Rice. Some people have begun to wonder if the move will truly take place as a result.

For example, Jorginho – who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January but could quickly be pushed down the midfield pecking order by Rice’s arrival – has answered a fan’s question on social media about when the West Ham man will be joining, by responding: “Good question. No idea” with some laughing emojis.

Nevertheless, various sources are indicating Arsenal are about to make the breakthrough.

According to Sky Sports News, they have made a ‘promise’ to the ‘increasingly frustrated’ West Ham that they will finalise the paperwork for the Rice transfer today (Friday).

The Arsenal squad will fly to the USA for a pre-season tour on Sunday. They remain hopeful that Rice will be on the flight.

Trusted reporter Florian Plettenberg has confirmed the Rice deal ‘will be 100% done this Friday’.
