Arsenal Is Still Leading Osimhen While Keeping An Eye On Man Utd’s Attacker

Although Arsenal recognizes Evan Ferguson’s “world-class potential,” they are also competing with Chelsea and PSG for Victor Osimhen’s services this summer.

STRIKER ARSENAL EYE SEAGULLS

Arsenal is currently winning the Premier League, so Mikel Arteta will have to make do without a top-tier scorer for the rest of the season. However, the Gunners are planning to sign a center-forward in the summer.

Ivan Toney has been strongly linked to them, although a deal for the Brentford star is “far from done,” per Football Insider. Evan Ferguson is one of the options that Arsenal is still evaluating.

“A huge talent capable of playing in the Champions League and developing into a world-beating number nine,” according to Arsenal, describes the adolescent from Brighton.

GUNNERS IN THE OSIMHEN RUN

At the end of the current campaign, Victor Osimhen will be available for grabs if Arsenal or any other team wants anything that is closer to the polished product.

Give Me Sport suggests that the Gunners ‘should not be ruled out’ of the race to sign the Napoli striker. But there are plenty of runners in the pack.

Like Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG are willing to meet Osimhen’s wage demands, which come in at around £250,000-a-week. If Napoli insist on the Nigeria international’s release clause being met, then Serie A club could bank £112million in exchange for their no.9.

MAN UTD AT FRONT OF DUMFRIES PACK

According to The Independent, Manchester United is looking to add a center-forward, a right-back, and a right-sided center-back this summer. And unless Erik ten Hag pulls a finger out, there will likely be a new manager as well.

Denzel Dumfries perhaps could be the right-back. The Inter Milan defender has been linked to United for some time, and according to Tuttosport via Sport Witness, the Red Devils are still in “the front row” to sign the Netherlands international.

Given that Dumfries will be entering his final year of contract in July, Inter are considering selling. Although the two sides have apparently been discussing a renewal, their salaries reportedly still differ by nearly £1 million annually. There would be no problem for United to give Dumfries what he is demanding from Inter.

In terms of a transfer fee, the Serie A leaders are said to be looking for around £34million, but that could rise if Dumfries enjoys a positive European Championships with Netherlands. Though United, now under seemingly more savvy leadership, are likely to insist upon a bigger discount given the 27-year-old is a year from free-agency.
