Arsenal Dealt Another Worry In Premier League Title Race

former Arsenal player, Nigel Winterburn has voiced concerns about Leandro Trossard performance since the forward’s return from injury.

The Gunners’ fight for the Premier League title and other significant honours has been greatly aided by the Belgium international.

Trossard has scored seven goals across all competitions this season, five of which have come in the Premier League.

The 31-year-old hasn’t scored in a competition since December, but he has contributed assists to victories over Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan in his previous two Champions League games.

Trossard gave Arsenal another injury worry during the international break after being omitted from the Belgium squad.

The Belgian FA said in a statement: “This decision will allow him to continue their rehabilitation under optimal conditions.”

The forward joins Martin Zubimendi, Piero Hincapie, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Eberechi Eze and Jurrien Timber who have all been withdrawn from their respective national teams squads with potential injury concerns.

Winterburn Worry About Trossard’s Form

Winterburn has given an explanation for why he thinks Trossard hasn’t been able to play at his best since returning from injury earlier this month.
