Arsenal Boss Considers Three Youngsters From The Academy To Start Match Against Luton Town

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta may be about to start three academy graduates as the Premier League games are coming thick and fast.

The Basque manager has a reputation for rarely changing up his starting lineups and as a result, he receives criticism on social media.

One change was made for the 0-0 draw with Manchester City on Sunday in which Gabriel Jesus replaced Leandro Trossard.

However, things might be different tonight.

Arsenal will probably be thinking ahead to their Champions League matchup with Bayern Munich this weekend which takes place away to Brighton after they host struggling Luton, who have 13 injuries to deal with.

Therefore, as reported by FourFourTwo, Arteta would have the ideal opportunity to rotate, especially since Bukayo Saka was hobbling off against City.

Three Youngsters From The Academy

Reiss Nelson, a fellow Hale End alum, is Saka’s obvious replacement on the right wing. However, some online commenters have theorized that ball-carriers will also be crucial to the outcome of the game.

By the end of the draw at the Etihad, Kai Havertz was showing signs of weakness, Martin Odegaard is practically a constant in this team, Jorginho isn’t in the lineup much against weaker teams, and Gabriel Jesus is still recovering from an injury.

Emile Smith Rowe, who started both the home and away matches against Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest might get minutes out of that.

This season, Arteta has gradually introduced his No. 10 into exactly these kinds of matches. However, Fabio Vieira is making a comeback from injury and may also be a possibility.

Another option is Eddie Nketiah. Nketiah hasn’t played much since the beginning of the year but with the Gunners needing to pressure the Hatters’ defense, Nketiah might be used in place of an other player who needs a break for whatever reason.
