Alex Meret Becomes Tottenham’s Prime Target To Replace Hugo Lloris

Napoli goal-keeper, Alex Meret has apparently been cited by Tottenham Hotspur as Hugo Lloris’ replacement. Former head-coach, Antonio Conte has previously suggested the Napoli goalkeeper as a possibility.

Long-term replacement for Spurs’ club captain Hugo Lloris is expected to be the 26-year-old Italian, according to NapoliCalcioLive. Lloris will ultimately be replaced in goal at Tottenham after more than ten years of service in north London.

Spurs are interested in Meret, according to a recent report from La Repubblica. And Napoli are willing to trade the goalkeeper for €30 million (£26 million) this summer. Despite Meret’s pivotal role in Luciano Spalletti’s team leading Serie A by 16 points.

According to the report, if Spurs decide to sign Meret, who might be the ideal long-term replacement for Lloris as their starting shot-stopper. They may soon have to thank Conte for suggesting him as a possibility.
