Alaba offered to Real Madrid as Bayern slash asking price

Agents for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has offered the Austrian to Real Madrid.

Alaba’s contract is set to expire at the Allianz Arena in June 2021.

He has been in talks with Bayern over the last few months but has failed to reach an agreement, and now the German club have withdrawn their offer.

For Real Madrid, this is not the first time that they have been offered a player.

The issue with bringing in the 28-year-old is that he wants a salary around 20 million euros gross per year. His agent, Pini Zahavi, like his father, is demanding a figure that would make up for the fact that no transfer fee would be paid to Bayern, reports Marca.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are seeking a knockdown fee to sell Alaba in January.

With his deal to expire in June, Bayern are now set to sell the defender.

Football Insider reports Bayern will be willing to sell the 28-year-old for £30m.

Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all been linked with Alaba.
