Al-Ittihad Ready To Pounce On Former Premier League Star In January

Saudi Arabian club, Al-Ittihad are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan forward, Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window.

According to CaughtOffside, Sanchez and the Jeddah-based club’s manager Marcelo Gallardo are already in talks regarding a transfer that could take place next month.

After his contract was terminated by Inter Milan a year earlier, Sanchez left the Italian club and returned in the summer. They gave him a severance payment when he departed.

The former Arsenal star signed a one-year contract with Marseille and left after it expired, with no indication that the French team intended to retain him.

The 35-year-old Chilean was signed by Italian stronghold Inter Milan to provide back up for players like Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram in the starting lineup. It was never anticipated that he would start for Inter.

Sanchez did not complete a proper pre-season when he joined Inter, which has resulted in injuries and fitness issues this season. The dazzling attacker has, nevertheless, still had his moments, one of which was a Champions League goal against RB Salzburg.

Although his Inter contract expires at the end of the current campaign, Gallardo, the manager of Al-Ittihad, is eager to add more attackers to his lineup during the January transfer window.

Gallardo wants to move quickly to improve Al-Ittihad’s current position in the Saudi Pro League, where they are in sixth place.
