Atletico Madrid and former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is currently edging closer to a transfer to Serie A side AC Milan.
According to a recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata has always had his sights set on returning to Serie A as he has relatives living in Italy and is eager to join the Rossoneri.
Even when he signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid, his goal was to secure a move to Italy through a cheap release clause in the deal.
He has informed Milan that he is willing to take a wage cut from what he currently earns at Atleti and Milan could make further savings through Growth Decree rules.
The Rossoneri have given signs of the fact that they are open to moving for the Spaniard as there is scope to agree a deal for less than his current release clause of €20m. There is belief that €12m could be enough for Morata to leave.
