“A Lot Of Lack Of Respect,” Neymar Hits Back At UCL Referee

Neymar has accused the referee who issued him a booking for celebrating in Paris Saint-most Germain’s recent Champions League match of showing a “lack of respect.”

The Brazilian attacker scored for the French heavyweights in their European match against Maccabi Haifa in Israel.

He sealed a 3-1 victory for PSG late on, but was shown a card by German match official Daniel Siebert after popping up a celebration that has rapidly become his trademark.

How Did Neymar React?

Neymar had previously revealed that his celebration, which sees him place his hands on either side of his head while sticking out his tongue, is a response to his critics.

Furthermore, Neymar had performed the celebration several times this season. The South American increased his season goal total to 11 when he scored against Maccabi.

After the game, Neymar aired his frustration on social media, saying: “Total lack of respect for the athlete. This kind of thing can’t happen.
