Borussia Dortmund and Germany World Cup star, Felix Nmecha is now a major target for Manchester United.
Nmecha, 25, has had a successful start to the World Cup in America, helping Julian Nagelsmann’s team defeat Group E rivals Ivory Coast after scoring in Germany’s opening 7-1 victory over Curacao.
Despite unexpectedly losing to Ecuador in their penultimate group match, Germany nonetheless won Group E and advanced to the knockout stages with a clash against Paraguay in the round of 32 up next.
Before the World Cup, Nmecha was linked to a major summer transfer, but after his outstanding displays in the US, interest in the German has only grown.
Over the last three seasons, the 25-year-old has been a regular for Borussia Dortmund, making over 100 appearances for the German giants.
United Willing To Bolster Midfield With Nmecha’s Signing
Nmecha has been linked to United in an attempt to improve Michael Carrick’s midfield options.
Ederson, a Brazil international, is expected to be Carrick’s first United acquisition, but Old Trafford officials are hoping to bring in at least one more midfield player.

Nmecha’s current contract contains a release clause, although the Red Devils were later offered 100 million euros (£86 million) to sign him from Dortmund.
Clubs will be able to sign him for £75.5 million when that provision in Nmecha’s contract activates in the summer of 2027 before it reduces to £60 million the next summer.
He Prefers United Move
Over the weekend, Newcastle United joined the competition to recruit the Manchester City academy graduate. Eddie Howe is eager to boost his team at St James’ Park after a disappointing season.
However, according to German publication Bild as reported by the Metro, Nmecha is open to returning to Man City, where he played as a young player for more than ten years, and also prefers a move to their city rivals.
