Atletico Madrid forward, Alexander Sorloth has spent more time on the bench than he may have preferred at the Metropolitano for the second consecutive year.
However, it is anticipated that the Norwegian forward will be in high demand this summer.
According to Football Espana, Barcelona had unexpectedly inquired about Sorloth, who they believe has the profile of a possible Robert Lewandowski replacement.
After failing to secure a starting position, Sorloth was linked to a transfer last summer, and Juventus reportedly considered him as a possible Dusan Vlahovic replacement in January.
