Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been criticised despite scoring twice in the club’s 4-1 victory over Wolves on Monday night.
The Red Devils produced one of their more convincing performances of the season, easing pressure after recent shaky form.

Goals from Fernandes, Mason Mount and Bryan Mbeumo helped United move closer to the Champions League places.
But despite his brace, Fernandes came under fire from former defender Paul Parker, who felt the captain struggled throughout long stretches of the match.
United were far from perfect against bottom-placed Wolves, and Parker insisted Fernandes played a major part in those “rough spells” his team endured.
Parker says Fernandes ‘looked terrible’
Speaking to The Metro, Parker claimed Fernandes was “really poor in the first half”, accusing him of giving the ball away too cheaply and making poor decisions.
Despite scoring, Parker argued the midfielder “got away with it” and looked “absolutely terrible”.
He contrasted Fernandes’ display with Lisandro Martínez, who impressed Parker with his leadership after coming on.
Martínez “ushered people forward” and organised the team, something Parker believes Fernandes “doesn’t do”.
According to Parker, Fernandes is an “armband captain” rather than a natural leader, even though he is viewed as United’s most important player, reports Football 365.
Spurs midfielder James Maddison offered the opposite view, describing Fernandes as “underrated” and praising his influence on the match.
Maddison also applauded Mason Mount, telling him he looked “back to his best” after a standout performance.
