Ex-Man United Star Defends Amorim Over Five-Man Bomb Squad Who ‘Simply Have To Leave’

Former Manchester United defender, David May has reportedly backed Ruben Amorim over his ruthless approach on some players, who simply have to leave the club.

Amorim’s firm stance on his petulant players have been backed to return the club to its former glory.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Tyrrell Malacia are the five United players who Amorim has prohibited from rejoining the team for preseason training.

The Portuguese manager has instructed the five to remain away until United’s team have departed on their preseason tour of the United States because he does not want their negative impact on the team.

According to The Mirror, United legend, May has defended Amorim’s brutal style, saying he is right to dismiss players who prioritize their own pride over the team’s needs.

What Did May Say About Amorim’s Approach On The Bomb Squad?

“I think this manager is perfect for the club,” said May, who won the Treble with United in 1999. “I like what he does, how he speaks and I think the club is in really good hands with him.

“It’s just the players and the mentality of some of them, who simply have to leave. You need players who will run through brick walls and who won’t question, but will just get on with it.
