AS Roma are reportedly on the verge of signing Brighton and Hove Albion forward, Evan Ferguson.
Ferguson has been pursued by Roma since Brighton indicated they would consider a summer transfer.
According to Corriere dello Sport as cited by Goal, the Irishman has now given his approval to the Italian club. Roma and the Seagulls already have an agreement in place, and they plan to finalize it in the next few days.
Following his outstanding achievements under former head coach Roberto De Zerbi, Ferguson gained recognition.

During Brighton’s 2022–2023 season, he scored 16 goals and provided five assists. But after suffering several injuries the following season and being loaned to West Ham, where he failed to impress, his development came to a standstill.
According to reports, Brighton have now agreed to a loan from Roma that includes a buyout option for the 20-year-old.
The striker’s final sale price, which the Seagulls hope to put at €45 million (£39 million/$52 million), is the only thing left to decide.
Roma Also Interested In Ferguson’s Teammate
Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of the Giallorossi, is also interested in signing Brighton’s O’Riley.
As an attacking midfielder who can convert opportunities, the Danish player is highly valued by the team.
However, they must first let go of a few current players before they can sign a second Brighton player. The three-time Italian league champions will try to find the Dane a similar loan deal.
Rasmus Hojlund returning to the Italian top division is another objective of the 2022 Conference League winners. The Denmark international became well-known under Gasperini during their time at Atalanta.
The move is contingent upon Manchester United, with whom they will need to negotiate the possibilities of a transfer.
