Tottenham Plot Double Man City Raid As £56m Duo Linked With North London Move

Tottenham and Manchester City are two teams in very different places. Pep Guardiola’s team is vying for the treble, having won the Carabao Cup, reaching the FA Cup semi-finals, and finishing second in the Premier League.

Spurs, on the other hand, are out of all tournaments and are firmly entrenched in the Premier League relegation zone. They have hired Roberto De Zerbi, formerly of Brighton and Marseille, as their new head coach.

If they survive, Tottenham are anticipated to pursue two Manchester City players, according to current transfer reports, which could be a major coup for the North London club.

Tottenham plan a double Man City raid

Spurs were strongly connected with City winger Savinho last summer. However, Manchester City insisted that the Brazilian attacker was not for sale and that they wanted to keep him.

Tottenham were reportedly willing to offer around £70 million, but chose to recruit Mohammed Kudus from West Ham instead. According to sources, Tottenham remain interested in Savinho if they survive relegation this summer.

According to the Sun, Tottenham are also interested in signing goalkeeper James Trafford, who has just been at City since joining from Burnley in the summer. Trafford has impressed, but due to Gianluigi Donnarumma, he has been City’s second choice, which he did not necessarily expect.

Spurs are looking for a new goalkeeper after Guglielmo Vicario’s uneven performance, while backup Antonin Kinsky has also made numerous mistakes, particularly during their Champions League knockout match against Atletico Madrid.

Trafford has made 14 appearances in all competitions for City this season, while Savinho has played 28. Their aggregate market worth is estimated to be over £56 million.
