Arne Slot has reportedly given a concerning injury report on Florian Wirtz with the Liverpool head coach stating that he does not know when the German playmaker would be ready to play again.
Wirtz will undoubtedly miss Saturday’s home match against relegation-threatened West Ham after developing an injury during warm-up before the Reds’ Premier League trip to Nottingham Forest.
Following Wirtz’s exclusion from his plans at the City Ground, Slot stated that the problem was not “very serious,” despite the £116 million midfielder’s complaint of a back issue. Liverpool hoped the 22-year-old would recover quickly.
The Germany international is still confined to the treatment table, so that hasn’t happened. There is no deadline set for a rehabilitation program that can take days or weeks to finish.

Wirtz’s fitness has clearly been questioned, but Jeremie Frimpong is once again available for a match with the Hammers.
What Slot Said About Wirtz And Frimpong
When delivering an update on his squad, Slot told reporters as quoted by Goal: “Jeremie trained with us a few times this week. So he’s available.
“But I don’t expect Florian to be available. It’s a disappointment. Every time a player is not available is a disappointment, it’s something that I didn’t expect after last week.”
Pressed further on when Wirtz could return, Slot added: “At this moment time, I don’t know. Usually when I say that, I do know and I don’t want to share that. But this time, I honestly don’t know.”
