The Atletico Madrid manager addressed the speculation ahead of his side’s crucial UEFA Champions League semi-final clash with the Premier League leaders.
Alvarez, who joined Atletico from Manchester City in 2024, has quickly become one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards.
The Argentine striker has scored 48 goals in 104 appearances, attracting attention from elite clubs across the continent, reports Goal.
Simeone acknowledged the growing interest but insisted it comes as no surprise given the player’s quality.
Atletico stand firm amid transfer interest
The Argentine coach revealed that alongside Arsenal, clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona are also monitoring the forward.
Despite the transfer rumours, Atletico remain calm about the situation and are not actively looking to sell.
