Real Madrid has turned their focus to departures ahead of Wednesday’s start of the summer transfer market. After reaching a mutual contract termination with the 29-year-old, they have already let go of Dani Ceballos, who might not be the only first team midfielder to leave before the end of August.
Given that Real Madrid intends to recruit Enzo Fernandez following the 2026 World Cup, a well-known midfield player is probably going to leave in order to balance the books from that purchase, which would cost well over €100 million. Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are currently the two names that stand out in this regard.

The Athletic claims that Real Madrid would like to sell Camavinga. Given that his prominence at the Bernabeu is at an all-time low after a miserable 2025–26 season in which he struggled with form and fitness, he has less of a role in Jose Mourinho’s squad.
Camavinga believes that leaving Real Madrid is “impossible”
Camavinga has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Bernabeu in 2026, even though Real Madrid may want to sell him because Liverpool is showing interest in him. He has told the club through his advisors that any sale would be “impossible” because he is only considering improving his circumstances in the Spanish city.
As a result, Real Madrid has begun to consider moving Tchouameni, who is also drawing interest from Premier League teams, specifically Chelsea and Manchester United. It’s uncertain at this point if he would want to leave, although it’s unlikely that he would oppose it as hard as Camavinga did.
In the upcoming weeks and months, it will be intriguing to watch how the Camavinga and Tchouameni issue develops, but Real Madrid will need to sell one of them.
