Real Madrid is trailing Bayern Munich 2-1 on aggregate heading into the pivotal second leg, but the team appears to be suffering from a lack of confidence.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, seeing that his team needed a boost, delivered words of encouragement to his players.

“Over the last 15 years, we’ve won 58 titles, including six European Cups in football and three in basketball. We value things fairly, and we are conscious of the challenges in winning each victory and trophy,” Perez stated (as reported by Football Espana).
“I have always stated that the loyalty of Madridismo is our greatest asset. Nobody gives up here, and we will fight year after year until the end to add titles to the greatest list of winners in sports history. It is a pleasure to have your support as we pursue the best club in history.”
Domestically, the team has struggled, although there is a major emphasis on Champions League competition. At this point in the season, Real Madrid has nothing to play for other than this.
