Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-KhelaIfi has confirmed that the French club will be leaving the Parc des Princes, few days after Manchester United minority stakeholder, Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly announced similar plans.
Al-Khelaifi informed attendees at a UEFA executive committee meeting on Thursday that his club are contemplating moving from the current stadium.
According to L’Equipe as reported by Manchester Evening News, he said: “It’s easier for us now, we know what that we want. It’s over for us.”
Presently, renovations are being made to the Parc des Princes. But it is anticipated that these will end right away as plans for a new stadium will be discussed in an urgent meeting. PSG’s decision is being considered concurrently with Manchester United future considerations.
After the club released a statement in December last year, rumors about the design of an Old Trafford stadium upgrade have been circulating.
Ratcliffe has committed £237 million to enhancing the Reds Devils’ infrastructure facilities. But the actual cost is anticipated to reach the billions.

Ratcliffe appears to be instinctively against the prospect of leaving Old Trafford, according to reports this week. He does believe that supporters would be open to the idea of a brand-new stadium being constructed close to the current plot, though.
Many supporters want to stay at the Theatre of Dreams and are opposed to these plans. The Glazers would prefer to stay at Old Trafford and make improvements to the existing infrastructure.
