Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba has made the startling assertion that Bruno Fernandes, the current star of Old Trafford, would be a serious candidate for the Ballon d’Or if he were playing for Manchester City, a rival team.
After turning down offers from Saudi Arabia last summer, Fernandes has had a remarkable season for United.
He is only two assists away from the Premier League record for a single season thanks to his outstanding total of 18 assists.
Although Fernandes is already one of the front-runners for domestic end-of-season awards, Pogba thinks a transfer to a more prosperous team will make him more well-known worldwide.
Pogba Speaks
According to the Independent, while speaking on the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast, Pogba elaborated: “Do you think Bruno if he is in another team, he’s not in the top three Ballon d’Or players? For me, you put him in City, he’s Ballon d’Or (top) three.
