Mohamed Salah Set To Return To Former Club, Accepting a Salary Cut

During his time at Anfield, Salah scored 255 goals across all competitions, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cups.

Roma return hinges on pay cut

TalkSPORT pundit Andy Brassell believes money is a factor, but Salah values playing at top-level clubs and Champions League football more than financial gain.

Salah’s potential move to Serie A would involve a huge drop in wages, as Paulo Dybala, Roma’s top earner, makes around €7m (£6m) per season, far below Salah’s Premier League £21m salary.

Brassell also suggested Turkey’s Super Lig as an alternative, naming Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, offering Champions League football and passionate fans, aligning with Salah’s ambitions, reports Talk Sport.

While a return to Roma would be a sentimental end to his European career, financial and competitive considerations are key. The Egyptian star is expected to decide after the World Cup.
