Mohamed Salah is reportedly being tipped to stay in Europe after confirming he will leave Liverpool FC at the end of the season.
The Egyptian forward had been widely expected to head to Saudi Arabia, where enormous financial offers have long been waiting.
However, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Salah may not be ready to leave elite European football just yet.

According to Carragher, Salah still looks driven by legacy, goals, and Champions League ambition rather than a final payday.
Carragher backs Salah to stay in Europe
Speaking about the 33-year-old’s future, Carragher suggested a move to one of Europe’s major clubs feels more realistic for now.
“I can see him in Italy with one of the giants,” Carragher reportedly said while discussing Salah’s next move.
He also argued that players often step away from top-level football too soon when they move to Saudi Arabia.
Carragher believes Salah still sees himself as one of the world’s best and capable of delivering at the highest stage, reports Daily star.
That mindset could push him toward another elite European club before considering Saudi Arabia or even MLS later.
Salah still has unfinished business
Salah has already built a legendary career at Liverpool, scoring 255 goals in 435 appearances for the club.
He also remains one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe and still carries major value in Champions League football.
Before joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah enjoyed two strong seasons with AS Roma in Serie A.
That history has naturally sparked fresh suggestions that a return to Italy could now be firmly on the table.
For now, Saudi Arabia may still be interested, but Europe may not have seen the last of Salah just yet.
