Bryan Robson, a Manchester United veteran, says Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is under increasing pressure in his job following their 2-1 defeat to Manchester City. The Gunners’ lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to three points, with City also having a game in hand, as their winless domestic skid continued.
Erling Haaland was a constant threat for the north London club, with his goal 20 minutes from time sealing a crucial three points in the top-of-the-table encounter. Kai Havertz equalised quickly after Rayan Cherki’s goal at the Etihad Stadium, with the German missing a glorious opportunity late on when he could only send his header over the bar.

The defeat reduces Arsenal’s lead at the top to three points, and a victory for City against Burnley on Wednesday would see Pep Guardiola’s side return to the summit for the first time since mid-August.
Weighing in on Arteta’s future, former Premier League manager Robson, who previously managed Middlesbrough and West Brom, told Bet St George: “The way Arsenal built the squad at the start of the season, spending a lot of money, and then with the good young players who’ve been coming through, you don’t know what the Arsenal hierarchy is thinking.
“But Mikel Arteta will come under a bit of pressure because it’s quite a long time since they won the league title.”I would have expected that if he didn’t win anything this year, he’d feel some pressure.”
Arsenal has been a real Premier League championship challenger in each of the previous three seasons. However, in two of those seasons, the Gunners have given up their lead at the top.
