Former Premier League star, Paul Merson has lauded Manchester United prodigy, Kobbie Mainoo and dubbed him a ‘top class’ ahead of the Red Devils Premier League clash against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Merson, who starred for both Arsenal and Villa as a player predicts that the game at Villa Park will produce four goals.
The 55-year-old believes that a 2-2 draw is likely in the game. Also praised by the Sky Sports pundit is United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo.
The pundit has praised Mainoo’s goal from earlier this month against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Merson told SportsKeeda as echoed by HITC: “Kobbie Mainoo’s emergence has been a bright spark for Manchester United.
“The lad was a bit nervous when he first came into the team, but he has really imposed himself in recent weeks and looks like a top-class talent.
“The goal he scored the other day was absolutely amazing – if Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo had scored such a goal, you wouldn’t hear the end of it.”

Since the 18-year-old prodigy has made his comeback from the injury he sustained in pre-season, he has never looked back.
Mainoo has been a standout performer for the Red Devils in recent weeks. His impressive displays have convinced the United’s hierarchy to prepare a long-term contract for the youngster which will keep him at the club for a long time.
